All the images are photos of the installation in the Johanneskirche. This is a protestant church which is part of a city-church project, its concept is to open up to art, music, fine art, theater, film, performances... to culture and to the public in general. There are three computers in the backside of the church, where you can see the internet-part of the project. In the same area you can see 120 little stools. Screenshot-prints of the webpages are stuck on to the stools, so peole that aren`t familiar with computers can read the stories of the participants and connect cloth and text. The robe itself is hung of the ceiling in the front part of the church, near the portal. You have to surround the robe to get to its entrance at the right hand side. Inside the robe you find the clothes of the participants sewn onto the basic material. Also you can see the texts hanging of the "sleeves" inside. The "sleeves" of the robe are inside the sculpture. The texts are rolled up and covered by transparent paper. BACK |
